This forum is about Terriers!
It is a place where terrier lovers can get together to talk about their canine passions and everything to do with terriers.
The "Purebred" Debate
Prairie Jacks does approve of, and support, those clubs and/or registration bodies that keep accurate breeding records, along with field testing/trials and field titles. But we are strictly opposed to any type of show titles that are bestowed upon any dog that has not first achieved a substantial working title.
It is the opinion of this Forum that form always follows function, never the other way around. The "Show Dog" phenomena of irresponsible Kennel Clubs has lead to the demise of every true working dog breed that they register.
Many terriers are "Types" and not recognized as "Purebreds" by various Kennel Club registries; accordingly this forum is geared toward the love of all terriers, mutts and crossbreeds included, and does not approve of the "holier than thou" attitude of some "Purebred" enthusiasts. This is the same attitude of Hitler and his Nazi regime. Any, and all terriers will be given equal status here, whether or not they are registered with a Kennel Club or other registration body. Nevertheless, "Purebred" enthusiasts are welcome here as long as they leave their papers at the door.
If this sounds like a forum that you would like to join, then after you register and activate your account, we will send you an email asking you to provide your legal name and phone number, the types of dog(s) you have, the type of activities that you do with your dog(s), and a clear picture of you and your dog(s), prior to being approved. This protects our members against frauds and scammers.
New members may not post until they are approved, nor enter the members only areas.
Once approved please go the the "New Member Introduction" page and tell the other members about yourself, your dogs, and the type of doggy activities that you are involved in.
See you on the Forum,
PJ
